On Wednesday, May 15th, 2013 — the Mayor of Aliso Viejo (Carmen Cave) presented Journey School with a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Aliso Viejo for winning the U.S. Green Ribbon Award. 8th grader, Nick R., led Pledge of Allegiance for the City Council Meeting. Shaheer Faltas and students accepted the award with a wonderful showing of support by Journey families filling up the Council Meeting room. We thank the City for the support of our green efforts and for inviting us to future Green City Initiative discussions.
