Progress Reports and Parent Teacher Conferences Change

A Message from our Education Directors:

Dear Journey School Parents,

Are you wondering what happened to our usual November parent-teacher conferences? Did you notice in our school calendar that progress reports will be sent and shared during your parent teacher conference in late January this year? Either way, we wanted to let you know that last school year the faculty and administration decided to move to a semester cycle for reporting of student progress and meeting with parents and we are excited to hear your input on this change.

Why change? We decided that with the busyness of our autumn time with Lantern Walks, Harvest Faire and Thanksgiving, we would rather set these important meetings at a time of the year that allows parents to feel that they have the time and energy needed to review their child’s progress with the teachers.

Please note, however, that we invite you to ask for a meeting with your child’s teachers if you have a need to know more now. We may do the same, inviting you to a meeting if we think it is needed.

Your child’s steady progress and satisfaction at school are important to us. Please feel free to let Patti or Tim Connolly, Educational Directors, know if you have any questions or concerns about this change in our student progress reporting.

Here are the dates for reporting student progress:

January 25-29 – Parent-Teacher Conferences and Progress Reports sent home (minimum days)

June 24 – Progress Reports sent home.
