What is a Waldorf School?
Waldorf Education Resources
Waldorf education focuses on developmentally appropriate, experiential, relationship-based learning. The Waldorf education movement was started by philosopher Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th century. Since then this unique approach has been adopted in countries throughout the world. Journey School's program is guided by the core principles of Waldorf Education, offered in free a public school setting. Journey School is dedicated to the optimal development of the intellect, social-emotional well-being, and physical capabilities of each student by artistically presenting core academic subjects. Our goal is to inspire students to be lifelong learners and enable them to live to their full potential.
Journey School is a member of the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education. There are currently over 60 public Waldorf schools in the United States and a growing number of charters are approved and written every day.
