In an effort to streamline communications, you will now receive upcoming events monthly instead of weekly.   You should continue to refer to the Weekly Happenings emails from your Room Parent for important deadlines, updates specific to your classroom, and volunteer opportunities.  You will find updates on this calendar page.

JOURNEY SCHOOL STORE HOURS – The Oak and The Acorn

  • Wednesday 8:45am-1:30pm
  • Friday 8:45am – 1:30pm

The store is meant to be a warm and welcoming place for parents to gather — or grab coffee and biscotti.

The Yearbook Committee has put together a spectacular 108 page, full-color, perfect-bound (bound like a paperback book, not spiral) book highlighting events, special moments, and artwork from each K-8 class. Books ordered by May 20th will be $20 each, after this date they will be $40. Click here to place your order online. Checks will only be accepted at the Yearbook table at 12:30pm and 3:00pm on Fridays, May 10th & 17th. Thanks to Annette Drake, Rachel Poppelwell, and Claudia Spates for organizing and designing this year’s book.   • June 14 (Fri) – Last Day of School (Minimum Day)

EVERY WEEK

  • Parent Craft Club at 9:00am in the Handwork Room – May theme is needle felting and wet felting techniques. Small material fee.
  • Gardening & Composting Wednesdays – Contact Michele Whiteaker to help our Garden Helpers maintain our outdoor classrooms each week.
  • Jamba Juice Wednesdays – Jamba Juice sale proceeds help Parent Cabinet fund the events and festivals it sponsors each year.
  • Recycling Thursdays – Every Thursday morning at drop-off our 4th grade team collects CRV labeled plastic bottles and aluminum cans.  No glass please.
  • Community Support Agriculture (CSA) Thursdays – Every Thursday – order your box today from Tanaka Farms to benefit Journey and your family.
  • Lunch Form Fridays – Every Friday lunch order forms are collected for the following week’s or month’s lunch orders.

Grades Regular Days are 8:30 a.m.-3:05 p.m.
Minimum Days are 8:30 a.m.-12:35 p.m.
