Journey School’s Summer Renewal program is designed for practicing Waldorf teachers in public charters and independent schools, as well as homeschool instructors. For new and seasoned teachers alike, planning for the year can be daunting. This week-long in-person renewal experience is designed to help teachers prepare for the year ahead, deepen their practice and fill their cups.
Attendees will participate in music, movement, informational sessions, collaborative working and artistic work and leave this immersive experience renewed and well informed. Teachers will gain practical insight and resources for understanding the developmental picture of the student, developing a Main Lesson block rotation, what to cover in skills classes, grade level parent work, healthy rhythms and their own inner work.
Located in beautiful Aliso Viejo in temperate coastal California, Journey school campus is close to accommodations, beaches, restaurants and shopping as well as exciting sports venues and vacation destinations. Our in person training offers a short trip for all our neighboring Waldorf schools in Southern California and a lovely excursion for Waldorf teachers from all over the country.
Each day will be packed with practical information imbued with inspiration for the year ahead and balanced with preparation time, both guided and individual.

WEEK 1: July 8-12 – Early Childhood and Grades 1-4
WEEK 2: July 15-19 – Grades 5-8
COST: $400 per week
