Master Gardener, Erik Katzmaier, and our Garden Helpers (parent volunteers) keep an ongoing wish list of items that we need for the garden.
We always welcome volunteers — no gardening experience necessary.
Please email Michele Whiteaker (ocplayparks@gmail.com) if you would like to volunteer for the Garden Helpers and she will include you on the weekly Tuesday email. We generally work on Wednesday mornings after drop-off at 8:30am and stay for varying hours.
Garden Wish List Spring 2013
- Metal wheelbarrow
- Long-handled three prong cultivator, smooth tines not flared at the end
- Two or three hand weed digger
- One push broom
- One metal rake
- One or two buckets with handles and a one cup measuring cup for measuring fertilizer
- One 50’ heavy duty hose, the one by our shed seems to have stripped its threads.
Special Wish List for the Rainwater Harvesting Demonstration Site (Belltower Garden)
Donation of a bird bath and small appropriate sculpture to use as decorative markers in the rain water harvesting project located in the Belltower Garden at the front of the school.
