Growing up, I always knew I’d become a teacher. I loved school, it was my favorite place to be as a child! I would spend recess in classrooms volunteering to work with the younger children. After graduating with a degree in child development and then a Multiple Subject Teaching credential, I began teaching, grades 2-5. I had been teaching for 10 years before I discovered the wonderfully unique world of Waldorf education. It was exactly what I wanted to be involved in, so I began my Waldorf journey. When my son entered kindergarten, I soaked up every bit of Waldorf education available. I also spent years as a substitute teacher at Journey School , working along side and learning from incredible teachers. Then, after returning to teaching, I was elated to accept a grade 1 class at Journey in 2018! They are my heart! Each child is a true blessing with individual gifts. I am honored to play such a vital part in their development and to be part of such an amazing community of families. I’m looking forward to many more years together!
