Prior to signing on at Journey School, Katie Black served as a sixth grade teacher at St. Anne School in Laguna Niguel. Teaching has always been a passion for her. Before St Anne, she worked as a junior lifeguard instructor for five years at Strands Beach in Dana Point. She was also an instructional assistant in a special eduction classroom at Woodbridge High School in Irvine. She says, “I know that Journey School promises to be like nothing I have ever experienced before personally or professionally, so I am very excited to be diving into this next chapter of my life with all of you. Since being hired, I have loved learning about the Waldorf method and all the fascinating opportunities it can provide the students from an educational standpoint. I look forward to sharing this journey (pun intended) with you all.”
