Lindsey LaFleur was born and raised in south Louisiana, where she earned her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and her master’s degree in teaching from the Relay Graduate School of Education. She led an academic summer program for incoming high school freshmen, assisting her team in curriculum planning and logistics. She worked in public schools for 5 years and taught kindergarten for 3 of those years. She holds a teaching credential for multi-subject instruction and is currently working toward her single subject credential to teach math.
Ms. LaFleur is entering her 4th year of teaching with Journey. She teaches Algebra to 8th grade, as well as various math and science blocks to all of middle school. She loves the community at Journey and the strong relationships formed between staff, students, and families. When she’s not teaching, you can find Ms. LaFleur curled up in her hammock reading or playing fetch with her two dogs.
