The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) reviews Journey’s Local Control & Accountability Plan (LCAP) each year and advises leadership before the plan is adopted. This keeps parent voice connected to goals, actions, and budget priorities that support student outcomes—especially for historically underserved groups (FRPM-eligible, foster youth, English Learners, and students with disabilities).
Meetings are open to everyone, include public comment, and agendas are posted ≥72 hours in advance.
We are advisory. PAC recommends; the administration and Journey School Council (board) decide.
How PAC connects LCAP, the Dashboard, and funding
- LCAP = goals + actions + expenditures.
- California School Dashboard (Local & State Indicators) shows how we’re doing.
- Needs that show up on the Dashboard, along with community input, inform the LCAP’s goals.
